SuperMatte Teju Lizard

(SuperMatte: Red, Walnut and Black)

SuperMatte: Orange and Grey

SuperMatte Blue
(Please click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers, One of our most popular exotics leathers we offer over the last couple of years is Teju Lizard, which we offer in both satin and Supermatte finish. The SuperMatte Teju Lizard is a Dangerous9straps exclusive material. Based upon the success our our SuperMatte Carbon American Alligator, we worked in collaboration with our Italian tannery to develop this finish for Teju Lizard. We Currently offer SuperMatte Teju in Black, Red, Blue, Commando Grey, Orange and Walnut Brown and expect to be adding additional colors as demand is expressed - so please, if you would like for use to offer a color that we don't have, please let me know and I will certainly take your request under advisement.

These colors have been very popular as both outer layers for straps and as lining leathers as well.  Due to their relative softness and moisture tolerance, they make ideal and extremely durable lining leathers are look very snazzy as well.

Here are some various straps with SuperMatte Teju Linings:

We are extremely pleased with the outcome. The finish a very durable and super soft to the touch. Additionally, many of our Teju colors such as Racing Tan, Tobacco, Walnut and Steel Blue are bespoke tanned by our Italian tannery partner and are exclusive to Dangerous9straps. If you would like to view a complete slideshow of all our Teju Lizard colors we have in current stock, please follow this link: Teju Lizard by Dangerous9straps.

Classic post revisited - Stephan's PAM343 on 1953 Swiss Ammo strap

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers,
This is a classic post from the past that looking at it deserved to be boosted.  Even after more that 5 years, I think this PAM343 and Swiss Ammo strap is a classic combo.  Enjoy...

When Stephan contacted be to build a Swiss Ammo strap for his beautiful Panerai 343, I was very happy to hear from him, as we had build a black stingray strap for his PAM343 in the year previous for which he'd provided some great photos and I was keen on getting a more from him this time with his watch mounted up with a Dangerous9straps' Swiss Ammo. Of course Stephan didn't disappoint with his photos and I think he choose a really great design: tapering nicely from 27mm at the lugs to 22mm at the buckle and with just accent stitching in black 4 ply waxed Irish linen, this strap shows elegance of design while at the same time highlighting the rugged patina of the 1953 Swiss Ammo pouch. Paired with his rare and beautiful PAM343, to me this strap and watch make for just about a perfect combination. Thanks Stephan for these great photos and your continuing business!

Classic Breguet 5207 on Denim Grey Ostrich leg skin strap with Silver stitching

(Please click to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers.  This is the second strap is had the pleasure of making for my local customer's stunning Breguet 5207 and I must say, having had the opportunity to spend more time with the beauty, I find myself more enamored that before. In white gold with power reserve at top and jumping seconds hand at bottom together with it's wonderfully textured silver hobnail dial and coin edge case, it is one of the most beautiful watches ever.  This watch is no study in minimalist design, which suits me just fine.  Because, while I appreciate minimalist design philosophy, In real life, I find myself more naturally attracted to intricate,  complex design elements working in together to achieve a balance, harmonious whole.  The Breguet 5207 does this in spades and so is perfectly matched with a watch strap which has enough intricacy in texture and pattern, not to compete with, but to balance and sustain the complex design elements of  the watch.  It's truly a feast for the eyes.  How could one not be memorized by its beautiful little details and it jumping second hand.  It's symphony in 60 second increments.

My customer chose this time to have his strap to be made from Denim Grey Ostrich Leg skin (a beautiful color and in very limited supply), which has a highly textured, intricate scale pattern, but with a muted, subdued color palette.  This enhances rather than completes with the subtle white, silvers and grays of the watch.  Paired with delicate silver metallic stitching, which really harmonizes with the beautiful white gold case and silver dial.  Lined with our super soft and supremely durable black Kangaroo glove leather lining with a 'bok' imprint pattern, I think this combination is every bit as striking for it's subtly as the first strap I had made last year in Black Row Stone Stingray was for it's bold contrasts.

John's Omega Planet Ocean 45.5 on Commando Grey SuperMatte Teju Lizard

(Click on any photo to enlarge)
Hi strap lovers.  I am happy to share some great photos provided from my customer John of his Omega Planet Ocean on his newly arrived Dangerous9strap made from our exclusive SuperMatte Grey Teju Lizard.  This strap features Padding at the lugs and our 'Thick Curved Lug System' (TCLS), which provides and integrated fit between the lugs.

The SuperMatte Teju Lizard is one of my favorite materials and  is a Dangerous9straps exclusive material. Based upon the success our our SuperMatte Carbon American Alligator, we worked in collaboration with our Italian tannery to develop this finish for Teju Lizard. We Currently offer SuperMatte Teju in Black, Red, Blue, Commando Grey, Orange and Walnut Brown. We are extremely pleased with the outcome. The finish a very durable and super soft to the touch.

This strap has been hand saddle stitched using matching steel Grey French Linen thread and our Blaze Orange Kidskin lining.  I think this strap in grey look just about perfect on John's watch - so much so that his is our newest 'Watch of the Week'.  Thanks John!!
