Breitling SeaWolf on Unique Vintage Swiss Army Rucksack Canvas and Black leather strap

Hi strap lovers.  This unique design custom vintage Swiss Army Rucksack Canvas and black leather straps was actually made to fit a customer's PAM048, However, since I didn't have the watch on hand, I decided to model this strap on this Breitling Seawolf for you instead.

I think this turned out to be a really striking combo.  This strap is unique for a couple of reasons.  First, instead of a vintage brown leather that is typically used for these canvas and leather straps, I've used a beautiful waxy black leather from our Tuscany Collection, which I think give this strap a great contrast with the vintage Army green and Ecru Linen weave of the Rucksack canvas, especially stitched with our fine French Ecru linen thread.  Second, I have added padding a the lugs, which is a first for this style canvas and leather strap.   The level of detail work and attention to detail required to build and stitch these Rucksack Canvas and leather straps is substantial, requiring nearly and hour to build and stitch just the keeper alone.

I think you'll agree that the combo is a great one on this Breitling and I'm certain will look equally great on our customer's PAM048 as well.

Steel Blue Teju Lizard for Anonimo Dino Zei Argonauta

Hi strap lovers.  Here are some really great customer photos from Phil of his Anonimo Dino Zei Argonauta on a Steel Blue Teju strap.  I just love this combo with the Blue Teju Lizard matching the blue accents of the Anonimo dial and hands.  I didn't have the watch or OEM strap for this fitment and relied on Phil's detailed photos and measurements, to get the correct dimensions of the strap at the lug.  As you can see it turned out great and fits perfectly.  Stitch with matching Steel Blue French Linen thread and lined with bright Dino Red Kidskin,

This combination is just wonderful and in my opinion, much better that the original brown leather strap that the watch came with. Thanks Phil for the great photos.  Your strap is our 'Watch of the Week'!!

1965 Swiss Ammo strap with Padding at the lugs for BR01 Adds and Extra Dimension

Hi strap lovers, here is a strap that I have recently completed for a customer's BR01 and I think it turned out really great.  Of course, I have been building custom Swiss Ammo straps for Bell & Ross watches since the very early days of Dangerous9straps,  and have been recently adding such options as Padding at the lugs to our Swiss Ammo straps for Rolex and Panerai, but this is the first time I have built padding into a Swiss Ammo strap for Bell & Ross BR01.  As the title of this post suggests, the addition of padding really does add a whole new dimension to these Swiss Ammo straps kicking the strap up a notch in look and offering a great new way to customize your Bell & Ross strap.  It my knowledge, I'm the only strap maker that offers padding on Swiss Ammo straps as an option (although I may be wrong).  Certainly this is the only strap I've seen with this upgrade for Bell & Ross style straps.  Hand saddle stitched with thick Heather linen thread and built with a matching 'D9' sling clip key fob I think this strap is a real looker.

Omega Speedmaster on 1965 Swiss Ammo Strap - a Classic combination

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers.  I had not planned to make a Ammo strap my next blog post, but when I received these lovely photos of his Omega Speedmaster Professional pair with his new arrived Dangerous9 Swiss Ammo strap from my great customer Ralph, I couldn't resist sharing them right away.  I think this may be the first time I've made a Swiss Ammo strap for a Speedmaster and certainly this first time I've featured a Speedmaster paired with a Swiss Ammo strap on the blog.  Frankly, Swiss Ammo straps have not been a frequently ordered strap for the Speedmaster, which after seeing these photos make no sense, because I think this combo is quite compelling, stunning even.

Perhaps many people think of Swiss Ammo straps as having to be super bulky and only suitable for larger watches such as Panerai and Bell & Ross, but I've been making Swiss Ammo strap scaled in thickness and stitching to be paired with watches of a much more modest dimension for a while now so as not to overwhelm the watch. And while I still wouldn't necessarily recommend a Swiss Ammo strap be paired with a dress watch, combining it with a 40mm sport chronograph like the Speedmaster is very doable.

The Vintage look of the Speedy is a great combo with the vintage leather of  this 1965 Swiss Ammo strap and their history pairs well together.  Of course These great photos show this combo in it's best light, which is why Ralph's Speedmaster will be our 'Watch of the Week.
