John's Rolex Daytona on Polished Black Stingray with Central Pearls

Hi strap lovers.  I wanted to share some great photos sent my my very good customer John from New York wearing is awesome Rolex Daytona Meteorite dial paired with his newly arrived Dangerous9straps Polished black stingray strap with central pearls.  This strap was a bit tricky in that it was build to fit the OEM Rolex deployment clasp, as so required a bit of extra fitment work and a bit of extra patience on John's part to get the fit just right, but I think the extra effort has really paid off.  The Grey-Black of the polished Stingray is a perfect match to the meteorite dial of his very special Daytona.  Looking good John, yours is our 'Watch of the Week'.

Hi strap lovers, we've been in the thick of production here at Dangerous9straps since moving into our new Werkstadt and couldn't be happier with the space, my new equipment and increased production. So much so that I've had little time to post here, but, I'm really excited about the last batch of straps - all exotics last week! One of my favorites from among them is this very special Alligator strap we picked up on your travels to Italy this past June - SuperMatte in Carbon black. This hide is a dream to work with and the texture and feel of this skin is just wonderful - almost like very soft rubber. This strap was built for my very good customer Douglas from the UK for is Panerai and he requested his strap be customized with Turquoise 4 ply waxed Irish linen stitching and custom dyed Turquoise Eel skin lining to match. Personally, I think it's a stunning combination. This strap also features our 'Thick Curved Lug System', which give the strap and integrated fit with the curved Panerai watch case. I've made a handful of straps with this upgrade for Panerai watched and think it looks really stellar!  So much so that I took the opportunity to take a few photos of the strap on my own PAM243 just to share with you here.  I like the results so much I'm making it my 'Watch of the Week'!

Distress leather on PAM243

(click on any photo to enlarge)
Hi strap lovers.  Nothing shows off a really great watch strap better that showing it on a really great watch.  Here is a perfect case in point: our newest prototype Distress 'Crackle' finished leather strap mated up to my PAM243.  This is a really great combo the strap features hand saddle stitching using Olive drab waxed Irish linen and matching Olive Drab special calfskin lining (wonderfully soft on the wrist).  And of course, my favorite of the buckles we offer: Our upgraded Vintage style, flat sewn-in buckle - this time with a brushed finish.  I think this strap looks perfect paired with the PAM243

Tan Painted 1960's/70's era French Ammo strap - a Dangerous9straps First!

(Click on any photo to enlarge)
Hi Strap lovers.  I wanted to share with you a Dangerous9straps first - a 1960/70's era French Ammo straps.  Of course we've made a number of French Ammo straps over the years, but never one from the 1960's/70's era with the tan painted finish.  The leather from these pouches is quite unique in that it's essentially the same as the previous generation French Ammo straps - a good quality vegetable tanned leather, but with a twist in that the surface of the leather has been painted the tan color you see here, which is impervious to oils and other things that might stain or change the color of the leather, so while other unsealed leathers with develop a patina over years of use, these will essentially remain unchanged - what you see is what you get (baring the painted surface being damaged or intentionally distressed in some way).  This painted finish appears to be quite durable as well, and is a really great light tan color.  Made for my good customer Nicolas's French Fleiger watch, and  and saddle stitched using Chocolate linen, this strap is a real beauty.
