David's Sunrise Ostrich for PAM111

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers, Here is a strap that I really love. We just completed it for our good customer David. He had originally ordered a strap we had designed together for his Eterna Kontiki diver, but the acquired a PAM111 and decided to switch up to the Sunrise Ostrich. This one has been hand saddle-stitched using Slate Grey 4 ply waxed linen thread. His original strap strap was designed to include black Kangaroo lining, but that would not work with this strap, because the edges are not painted, but dyed and waxed, so I chose to upgrade his strap using Dangerous9straps' exclusive smoke gray Eel skin lining. I think it's a killer combo with the Sunrise Ostrich and Slate Grey. You'll notice that I show you more than just one photo of my straps but typically provide my customers with between 12 and 20 photos of their completed strap. I do this for a three reasons: 1) I'm proud of my work and and excited about it and want to show it off. 2) I want my customer to be as excited as I am about getting their new strap. 3) I show the backs of the strap because there is something to see there. To me the back of the strap is nearly as important as the front and I really focus on using exceptional and often exclusive materials to make a strap that is a true luxury to wear.

A note about Materials: Dangerous9straps are made using only the very finest materials throughout. Our philosophy is that nothing should go into your strap that I would not be proud to have on the outside. Many straps maker and especially the larger strap manufacturers use foam, cork composites and other lower quality preformed man made materials inside their straps. These materials will breakdown over time and destroy your strap from the inside. Dangerous9straps' mid-layer and padding are made using top grade vegetable tanned leather - the same leather we use to build our leather straps. These leathers will not breakdown over time and as a result, our straps are made to last a lifetime and more.

Michael's Rolex GMT on Chocolate Shark

Hi strap lovers, here is a watch that I've been meaning to feature for a while, and I finally found the opportunity. My very good customer Michael had ordered this strap along with an Alligator strap for his Dabey & Schaldenbrand this past fall, but due to his moving around so much, I had not been able to ship it to him for a while. He was kind enough to take these photo of this shark skin mounted up to his Rolex GMT, which I think looks spectacular. This strap is custom dyed chocolate brown. I have a very limited amount of an undyed shark skin left for these custom colored strap, and my supplier tells me he won't be able to get me more, so if you would like a custom colored shark skin strap, I suggest you contact me right away before it's gone forever!!
I want to send a big thank you to Michael for these great photos!

Jean's Hamilton Ventura on Polished Stingray

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers, this Dangerous9strap was actually completed last summer for my good customer Jean from France and I had been meaning to feature it for a while, but you know how it goes, life gets busy and it dropped off my radar. But the Hamilton Venture is a really eye catching piece, a real touchstone of mid-century design and the rare model that as far as I know, is in current production. if you're looking for a deco watch with a really cool mid-century vibe, you can't good wrong with the Hamilton Ventura and I think the polished stingray is the perfect strap to show it off. Thanks for looking and thanks to Jean for sending his watch so I could build him the perfect strap and take these photos!

The new owners of these straps are: Aaron, Brent, Brandon (each with their own PAM382 - Oh the envy;-), Doug - for his vintage Breitling Super Ocean and Richard for his Sinn U1 SDR.
I do hope to have the opportunity to feature each of their respective watches on my blog if I'm lucky enough to be provided photos of their watches mounted up to their new Dangerous9 Swiss Ammo straps.

Opas' 1933 German Ammo strap

(Click any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers. I want to share a very special Dangerous9strap that I recently completed for my great customer Opas from Thailand. He as originally contacted me before Halloween about a German Ammo strap for his Panerai like the one I had made for Richard and had featured here with some of Richard's wonderful photos, as requested that I build his though, with custom hand tinted Military Green linen. But, as sometimes happens, life (in the form of flooding in Thailand) got in the way of his ordering. So I was quite happy and more than a little relieved when Opas contacted me on December 22nd to let me know he and his family were OK and that he was ready to confirm his order(I remember the date, because I remember having received him message on my i-phone while at Munich's famous Christmas Market and enjoying a very tasty Gl├╝hwein:-). Well hearing that Opas and his family were well gave us a reason to lift our glasses in celebration. Anyway the strap you see here is the result of a long Odyssey over many decades from pre-WII era Germany to my good customer in Thailand in 2012. I want to send a big Thanks to Opas for the gift of these great photos!

2 Straps for B.R.M. V12

(click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers, here are a couple of straps that I recently completed for my good customer Paul-Louis, from France's B.R.M. V12 in the OEM style. He had originally contacted me to build him cognac Cane Toad with Dangerous9straps exclusive 'SuperExotica' upgrade using ebony Eel skin lining. and after seeing the natural colored strap with cream linen stitching that I recently build for Solomon, requested that I add that combo to his order as well. These straps were a lot of fun to build and a bit of a challenge to fit the narrow padding and the double stitching lines on a strap that is only 22mm wide at the lug and narrowing to 19mm at the buckle. I ended up getting a new supply of 3 ply waxed Irish linen in order to make these finer stitch lines. Anyway, I'm really happy with the look of these straps and hope that Paul-Louis enjoys them as well.
