2 Ameican Alligator straps for James' PAM 312

(click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers, here are a couple of American Alligator straps I just completed for my good customer James from the UK. The combos are Black and White and Chocolate Brown and White with nice thick padding at the lug, which to my view makes these straps look extra special. These are going to look great on James' Panerai 312. American Alligator is really the king of the exotics and these strap show why. Lined in super soft French Lambskin these will be a luxury on the wrist as well. Completely handmade and hand stitched in Cream White waxed Irish linen. If you're looking for the very best exotic skin watch straps in the world you really owe it to yourself to experience the luxury of American Alligator by Dangerous9straps. Because there is nothing in the world quite like the very best!!

My New Armida A1 on Dangerous9 exclusive Moss Grey Nubuck Shark Skin

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

When I received my new Armida A1 "Super Dome", I knew right away that I would benefit from a better looking strap. The rubber wasn't very comfortable in the summertime heat (yes, summer has finally reached us here in Munich). And, while I liked the black NATO/Zulu strap that came with the watch, I knew with the right strap this watch could be even better that it was right out of the box (or tube as it were). I wanted something exotic, so leather was out of my equation. American Alligator, Caiman Croc, and Ostrich Leg, while I love them as straps on most watched seemed way too formal on my "Super Dome". Stingray could be nice as it's from the sea, but it's too dressy as well. Shark! Shark is just the think. Black Shark could be very striking, but not distinctive enough. I wanted something unusual, with perhaps Orange stitching to bring out that great orange of the minute hand. I have a Nubuck Shark skin that I call Moss Grey that might be the perfect solution. Plus, since it's a shark skin that is exclusive to Dangerous9strap, I know that I'll be the first and in fact only person on earth sporting this strap combo. Can't get more exclusive than that. I thought about using my super soft French Lambskin lining, but I wanted to try out a newly arrived Kagaroo skin, which is extreemly tough, as this is a sports watch, I wanted to give it a super beefy look and feel. Dangerous9strap workshop, Munich Germany

Hi Strap lovers, I've had a number of requests from Customer and friends form various forums request photos of my current workshop since my move to Munich Germany this past April. Well, It's really not much to see as I'm a one man operation at the moment, with the exception of my beautiful wife, who's constant help with getting this small space for me to work and setting us up here in Munich has been and endless amount of work for her for the past 10 months. Anyway, when it comes to actually making the straps, it's me from start to finish, so here is a slide show of the current Dangerous9straps workshop. I hope you enjoy the show:-)

Anky's Desert Tan for PAM329

(click on any photo to enlarge)
Hi strap lovers, Here's one I just completed for my good customer Anky's for his Panerai 329. I think you'll agree it's a really stunning strap. I just can't get enough of these Ostrich Leg skin straps. This one is made, like all exotic skin straps ordered in the month of August with the super soft French Lambskin upgrade at no extra cost. This one is in Desert Tan Ostrich with Walnut colored, 4 ply, waxed Irsih stitching which is a great choice for matching tread and gives the strap a really great look. I've made 3 strap in this color combo over the last 8 months, and I have to say I'm really in love with each and every one of them. Oh well, at least I know it's going to a good home:-) I have a limited supply of this Desert Tan Ostrich until my supplier gets a shipment from his tannery. So if you're interested in getting a Desert Tan Ostrich Skin strap from Dangerous9strap, shoot me an e-mail and reserve yours right away.

Barry's Great Caiman Leg for Paneria

Hi Strap lovers. This one is a real beauty that I wanted to share. It's a black Caiman Croc. Leg skin for Panerai with padding at the lug which really shows of the great scale patterning of these leg skins to best advantage. These scales are soft and flex a lot like elbow or knee plate armor that was worn by knights back in the day and it wouldn't surprise me if the Croc. was the amour maker's inspiration. These straps are stitchless to show off the great scale patterning unencumbered by stitching. As near as I can tell this strap is a Dangerous9straps exclusive and are rare, as I can only make two strap for a caiman skin (only the back legs are long enough to make a strap). If you're interested in getting one made for your favorite watch let me know right way, as I'm planning to order a new batch of Caiman skins. Thanks!

Barry's Cream Nubuck for PAM

Hi Strap lovers. Dangerous9straps has become synonymous for and dyed leather straps, and recently has also become somewhat famous for using no dye at all. Here's a great example of a natural undyed strap made from natural vegetable tanned leather with a fine nubuck finish black edged and stitched to set off that great natural cream nubuck leather inside and out. I shot these photos early in the morning with the sun just cresting to show off that great custom sanded nubuck finish and beautiful cream color.

These straps will slowly darken with age and light exposure to a great vintage tan color, or if you prefer, keep it out of the sun as much as possible, and this great cream color can last for years. Treated with spray-on suede finish to protect it from dirt and water, I would still caution prospective owners to stay away from oils, as these can stain this beautiful finish. A quick brushing with a clean suede brush and an occasional spray with suede protectant should be all the maintenance these great Cream Nubuck straps Dangerous9straps will need to stay looking great for years to come.

Tobacco Ostrich Legg - all the good stuff

Hi strap lovers, Here's one that I built last week for my good customer Wouter, from the Netherlands. Made with a beautiful shade of Brown tobacco Ostrich leg and padded to give a great Wow factor! Chocolate stitching for subtlety and a great French lambskin lining to give it that certain je ne sais quoi. And voilĂ ! Just about the perfect strap that you can wear year in and year out and will NEVER go out of style... A true classic.

Tim's Anonimo on Dangerous9strap

Hi strap lovers, my good customer, Tim contacted me a little while ago with a simple request - a Tan strap with black stitching and fitted with a deployment claps. Pretty straight forward request, but complicated at the same time because as everyone knows, that since I custom blend my leather dyes myself, I can make a Tan strap in about 1000 different tones of Tan. Which one would look good on Tim's Anonimo? I decided to go with the most straight forward tan color I could come up with: medium tan, not too yellow, not too brown or with too many red tones and no antiquing (difficult as I'm always temped to add antiquing). Here is what I ended up with: an honest tan that has a great almost military feel, especially with the black stitching.

I have to admit though as much as I like this new Dangerous9strap, I think Tim's great white dialed Anonimo watch is so cool, it makes my strap look better than it is, instead of the other way around. OK, maybe they just compliment each other perfectly. Thank you Time for these really great photos! You're is definitely may new "Watch of the Week".
