Chris G's Serpentine Ostrich BR02 Strap

(click in photo to enlarge)

Hi Strap lovers. Just a quick post to share some photos of a strap that I completed this morning for Chris G. It's a strap for a Bell & Ross BR02 in Serpentine Ostrich leg and I think it turned out really great. Ostrich is a great material for watch straps, as it's super soft and super strong and very supple and the patterns in the skin are great. If you've not had the opportunity to try ostrich yet. You should really check it out. You'll be glad you did. Cheers!!

Desert Tan Ostrich Leg for IWC

Hi Strap lovers. I'm really excited about this strap that I just completed today. In keeping with my theme this week of finely made straps, I offer for your appreciation this Ostrich Leg Skin strap in Desert Tan for an IWC Portuguese chronograph. This handmade Dangerous9 strap is build to a finer scale than a lot of the Bell & Ross and Panerai straps at 22mm at the lug and 18mm at the buckle it tapers nicely and together with the padding, it's a realy beauty. Please notice this stitching done in 4 ply linen. With 8 stitches per inch, it's the finest I've done yet. I really enjoy making the finer straps and hope that this will be a real growth part of my business. The ostrich leg skin is a perfect material for making these finer straps. It's butter soft and very supple and just the right thicknes for a dress strap. As I venture into doing custom, handmade straps for such brands as Rolex, Breitling and IWC, I expect that I'll be working in Ostrich more. Thanks for looking!!

Hi strap lovers. I just wanted to let everyone know that I've just added a side bar to my blog with a link to my Customer Album on Photobucket. Please check it out to see some really tasty photos of great watches and Dangerous9 straps. I'll be adding more photos and labeling them as they come in, so check in on occasion to see what's new!

I've taken tremendous joy over the past months as my wonderful customers have shared with me and in some cases the rest of the world their great photos of their Dangerous9 straps and watches. The fact that so many of you have taken the time to send me photos of your watch mounted up to your new Dangerous9 strap, I find very gratifying. The fact that so many of you have gone to the trouble of taking such wonderful photos and posting them with wonderful reviews on watch forums all over the web, I find astounding!!

To tell you I love what I do, doesn't even come close. My sister always told me to find work that you can get paid for that you'd do for free. And I can say without hesitation that I've finally take her advice. So to all my customers with whom I have the great joy and privilege to share my passion. Thank you!!

Finer Dangerous9straps for Panerai OEM Deployments

Hi strap lovers. Dangerous9strap has made a bit of a name for itself by by making Bigger, Beefier, straps for such watch brands as Bell & Ross and Panerai. But did you know that not all Dangerous9 straps are big and beefy and I am very capable of making a more delicate and finer formed strap for almost any watch brand. Here's a case in point: The strap featured here, while being a PAM strap, is made to Panerai specs, with padding at the lug, finer stitching and both narrows to 22mms and thins to 2.5mms so that it will accommodate the Panerai OEM deployment. This strap is fully lined in calf leather for better look and comfort. I've also used a 4ply linen thread instead of the 7ply that is used on most bigger, beefier Dangerous9straps. I think the finer thread gives the overall strap a more harmonious proportion and dressier look. While at the same time, the cream colored thread, maintains a sporty look. If you love Dangerous9 straps, but have been hesitant to order because your watch would look best with a finer made strap. Contact me I can assure you that I can make you a strap for you Panerai, Breitling, Rolex and even Bell & Ross that is both finely made in detail and Dangerous9 in spirit. And with quality that is express in a watch strap that is fully handmade.

Grey Mist for Delroy

Strap lovers. Here is the lastest Dangerous9 iteration of the Grey Mist strap I recently completed for my good customer Delroy. I've incorporated several improvements in this strap over the last Grey Mist strap for the Bell & Ross BR01 Commando: 1. I have thinned the leather, so it's only about 4mms thick. 2. I've custom dyed the slate grey thread to a grey that I think matches this particular Caiman skin better. 3. This strap is mounted to the NEW custom "D9" logo buckle with a new and improved Matte PVD finish, which I think is a huge improvement over the old brushed PVD finish, as it is an almost perfect match to the finish of the Bell & Ross case. Small changes to be sure, but I'm making small changes to my production and build methods that will in the end total to a better strap overall. I won't be satisfied until I'm making the very best all handmade straps available anywhere. If you have a desire for one of the new and improved Grey Mist Caiman straps or any other color Caiman, Please let me know right away. I've got a large selection of Caiman skins in stock and my supplier can get me just about any color you can think of. Cheers!!

Ancient Swiss and German Ammo straps

I consider every strap I make as being very special and I hope every customer that orders a Dangerous9 strap feels the love that I put into each and every one of them. There are however some materials that are more special than others. The Ancient Swiss and Germany Ammo Pouches that you see in the below slide show are a perfect example. The pouches are old and rare. In some cases very old and very rare indeed. Dating from 1915 to 1950, these straps are between 60 to 95 years old!! The leather shows it's age, but has plenty of life left in it and the patina is gorgeous!! These will make very special watch straps indeed. You will truely be wearing a piece of history on your wrist.

Current 1960's era Swiss Ammo Pouches!

Here is a slide show of the current Swiss Ammo Pouches from the 1960's that I have in stock and ready to be made into beautiful watch straps. These go fast, so if you see one you'd like to have on your wrist, contact me right away!! Thanks
