I hope your agree that it's so cool, it' hot. Thanks Cat for the order and for sparking my imagination with this one. Also, if any of are might be interested in having a Croc strap in this color, I can make for you no problem and I've got about 15 different colors of thread to choose from, so let me know if you're interested right away because I don't think skin color is going to sell out fast!

Additional Swiss Pouch

Hi all you strap lovers out there, I just wanted to let everyone know that I've got a new Swiss Ammo pouch in and it's truely an historic one dated from 1938. Of course, I can only make one strap out of this one that shows the stamping, but the leather is so fine and the pouch is so large, that I should be able to get 4 straps from it. This a truely beautiful leather at over 70 years old and the color is fantastic. These pouches are getting very rare to find these days, and I don't know when I'll have another pouch like this one. If anyone wants to have a custom strap make incorporating the stamps, the cost if $230. If you'd like me to make a custom strap without the stamping, the cost would be only $175. Don't hesitate on this one, because one it's gone, it's gone. Thanks for checking in!!

Hi all you wonderful strap lovers out there! I'm really happy to announce the completion of my very first Swiss Ammo strap! I've got to say I was a little intimidated to build this prototype, as some of the ammo straps that I've seen from other strap makers are very nice. I also had some technical challenges with getting the right glue, as this leather is wax dipped and most glues don't work well. Additionally, the leather is very thick at over 3mms, and in order to make it usable for straps must be skived down to about 2mms. Anyway, it took me a few weeks to work out these issues and build my first prototype. And I must say it turned out even better that I had hoped. I'm offering these straps at $196 and you'll get to pick the pouch you want me to use and will also come with a special limited addition certificate of authenticity form Dangeorus9straps. 3 of the first 6 pouches have already been spoken for, so if you want a strap from this first batch, please contact me right away!

Finally Completed my first Swiss Ammo Straps!!

Hi all you srap lovers out there! This strap has been completed for my great customer Gabe, a SoCal Bro and a member of BR-avo.com (the best Bell&Ross forum on earth). He picked the pouch he wanted me to use and we worked out how we were going to fit all the original Swiss stampings on his strap. This is only the second Ammo strap I've completed and I think its turn out great. Here are a few photo and I'll posting more photos of my first effort very soon.

Hi strap lovers; I just wanted to share the below black stitchless nubuck caiman strap (see slide show) that I recently completed for my great customer, Gabe. He's one of my SoCal Bros that I met through BR-avo.com. One of the great things about living near a customer is that he can just drop by the "factory" and we can look at the hides I have on hand and we can really collaborate to create a strap that is just a perfect expression of their vision of the perfect strap. This strap is a great example of that collaboration. And just so you all know, anyone who's interested and is in Southern California is welcome to contact me and do the same.

Also, even if you're not in the area, I'm more than happy to work with your through e-mails to do the same. Many of the straps I've made for customers are the result of email exchanges that are very extensive resulting in 20 e-mails or more. I'm more than happy to hear from you and collaborate to bring your vision into reality.

Travis's Photos

Hi all you wonderful strap lovers out there. My customer Travis just received his new strap today and took a few photos and sent them along (I love it when you all do that!!). Well apparently, he's quite the photog, because these turned out really great. Of course, he said the light was crappy and that it's just the great camera/lens combo, blah, blah, but anyone with eyes can see this guys got it going on in the photography department. So, my hat's off to Travis and thanks again for sharing the great shots! I love the way he's able to focus just on the center of the field, leaving everthing else out of focus. It gives the impression that what's in focus is the most special thing in the world. I told Travis "it's like when you meet a beautiful woman for the first time" (I was thinking of my beautiful wife Andrea, who's so far away in Munich right now, but I didn't want to sound too sappy). Anyway, I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do.
