Tan Painted 1960's/70's era French Ammo strap - a Dangerous9straps First!

(Click on any photo to enlarge)
Hi Strap lovers.  I wanted to share with you a Dangerous9straps first - a 1960/70's era French Ammo straps.  Of course we've made a number of French Ammo straps over the years, but never one from the 1960's/70's era with the tan painted finish.  The leather from these pouches is quite unique in that it's essentially the same as the previous generation French Ammo straps - a good quality vegetable tanned leather, but with a twist in that the surface of the leather has been painted the tan color you see here, which is impervious to oils and other things that might stain or change the color of the leather, so while other unsealed leathers with develop a patina over years of use, these will essentially remain unchanged - what you see is what you get (baring the painted surface being damaged or intentionally distressed in some way).  This painted finish appears to be quite durable as well, and is a really great light tan color.  Made for my good customer Nicolas's French Fleiger watch, and  and saddle stitched using Chocolate linen, this strap is a real beauty.
