Marc's 1966 Swiss Ammo strap for BR03 Ti

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers.  I wanted to share the lastest Swiss Ammo strap from the Dangerous9straps workshop.  This strap is made from a really great looking 1966 Swiss Ammo strap with a beautiful deep Mahogany Brown color hand saddle stitched using Ecru 4 ply waxed linen thread with stitch breaks to highlight the original pouch maker and inspection stamping. Paired with our industry standard setting 'D9' screw-in buckle, I think it's a real winner.  If you've got a Watch you think would look good with one of our limited number handmade Swiss Ammo straps, please send me an e-mail and I would be happy to work with you to design a one of a kind strap that you'll love.  In the meantime, please check out the links to slide shows of our in-stock Swiss Ammo pouches and slide shows of completed straps in the side bar.

1960's Swiss Ammo straps!!

(Please Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers, I wanted to share some of last weeks production of 1960's Swiss Ammo straps.  These Swiss Ammo pouches make for wonderful straps and while these are all for Panerai watches I do make each strap custom and so can make one for just about any watch that takes a strap of at least 18mm at the lugs. Of course Dangerous9straps also offers straps from Swiss Ammo pouches dated from Pre-1960 - in fact have been know to make straps from Swiss Ammo pouches dating all the way back to 1899, so if you're looking for a specific date, please don't hesitate to ask.  Below the group shots, you find slide shows of each of these straps photographed using a vintage Swiss Army field telephone dated from 1940, which I was lucky to come by in my travels and I absolutely love.  This Old field telephone is in incredible condition and even came this a set of 4 dry batteries that require water to activate.  Although, since I can't call anyone, and have only a sketchy idea of how the phone operates, I won't try my luck - I have a fantasy that perhaps I could speak with a Swiss solder from the 1940's (Idea for movie script trademarked;-)

1950's Vintage Swiss Army Canvas for PAM243

Hi strap lovers, I wanted to share a recently completed Canvas and leather straps made from a 1950's era Swiss Army Rucksack.  This design was completed in collaboration with my very good Gabe from Southern California for his PAM320 and it turned out so great, I decided to build on for my own PAM243.  The design itself is quite complex with 4 layer of material (upper leather framing the canvas, Canvas layer, vegetable tanned mid-layer, and lining leather).  This strap is very finely hand saddle stitched using Ecru 3 ply waxed Irish linen that I think is a really great match for the both the vintage canvas and leather as well as the dial markers of the PAM 243.  Only Dangerous9straps builds straps with this level of detailed hand work, the keeper alone taking about an hour of careful work to get right.  If you are interested in having use build one of these uniquely handcrafted straps for your watch, please don't hesitate to contact me.

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers.  Here are some really great photos of my very good customer Harry from HK showing is newly arrived Dangerous9straps 1965 Swiss Ammo pouch all mounted up to his stunning PAM422.  The watch, while a new model for Panerai is a real classic and among the best of recent offerings from Panerai.  This classic design deserves a classic strap to go with it and that's just what Harry's got with is 1965 Swiss Ammo strap.  Paired with rare Authentic vintage Swiss Army issue linen and handsaddle stitched, it's a perfect match with the PAM422's vintage colored dial markers.  This strap also features are custom 24mm, 3mm thick vintage style, flat, sewn-in 'D9' buckle. Big thanks to Harry for the great photos.  Yours is our 'Watch of the Week'!

Stephan's PAM288 on Pecan Alligator Strap

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers.  I'm really excited to show you the latest Dangerous9strap.  It's a Pecan American Alligator strap for our local customer Stephan.   In the past, Stephan has been kind enough to let me take some photos of his watch all mounted up with his latest Dangerous9strap and this time was no exception.  The Pecan colored print Alligator I think is a perfect combination for the Stephan's PAM288.  This strap also features Dangerous9strap's exclusive 'SuperExotica' upgrade, which in this instance is a combination of buttery soft Classic Tan Eel skin lining and out super fine hand saddle stitching in Olive Drab 3 ply waxed Irish linen thread.  This strap was build 27mm wide at the lugs to really fill those wire lugs and nicely tapered to 24mm to our upgraded 'D9' vintage style flat sewn-in buckle, which I think look great here.  I think this watch/strap combo is without a doubt about perfect. Thank you Stephan for your generosity for the use of your beautiful PAM.  Your's is our new 'Watch of the Week'!!

1950's era Swiss Army Canvas and Leather strap made from Rucksack

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers.  Here are some great photos of the lastest Dangerous9straps creation made from the canvas and leather salvages from a 1950's era Swiss Army rucksake.  This strap is build for a BR01 Heritage, with the original vintage leather dyed black and super fine hand saddle stitching using 4 ply waxed Irish linen thread in butterscotch to match the BR01 Heritage dial markers.  The design is highly tenchical with 4 layers of material and and very close fitment tolerances which requires really fine stitch work.  I think the results are stunning.
