Richard's Awesome Sinn SDR on 1965 Swiss Ammo strap

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers. My very good customer Richard from the US has been a repeat customer for a while now and is always does me the kindness of sending along some wonderful photos of one of his watches all mounted up to his latest Dangerous9strap. The latest set of photos feature his awesome Sinn SDR watch paired with his newly arrived 1965 Swiss Ammo strap. This is a really great combination with notched lugs in order to give him the full 24mm width of strap he was requesting, while perfectly fitting the 22mm lug width. As always, great photos Richard!!

Eddie's Black Mahogany fade for BR01

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers! As many of you know, Dangerous9straps is famous for custom hand stained and dyed leather straps in just about any color one can imagine. Eddie's newly completed "Black Mahogany fade" strap for his BR01 takes this concept to the absolute limit.

When I lived in California, I had a buddy Brian, who worked in Fender Guitar's custom shop and I was developing these dye techniques in consultation with him (he's since moved to Nashville to build guitars for Gibson - a life long dream). This strap dye pattern is inspired by Brian and the classic and rare Gibson Les Paul 'Autumn Burst' pattern guitars that we both love.

Hi strap lovers, Here is the latest Completed
Dangerous9straps' American Alligator strap for my good customer Alex's Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving GMT. He really wanted a beefy strap that would look great with this beefy diver and I think we were able to fulfill his wish very nicely. Alex's strap also features hand saddle stitching in Royal Blue linen to match the blue accents of the watch. Lined with black Australian Kangaroo leather this strap is build to last and for comfort as well. Thanks Alex for your great photos!

Benjamin's Antiqued Alligator for PAM243

Hi strap lovers, here is a strap that proves that not all of our Dangerous9straps' exclusive Hand antiqued American Alligator strap need to be for "dressy" style watches or even dress straps. This one is for my good customer Benjamin's PAM342 super dive watch. This strap is a little bolder and my making the strap a little beefier overall and eliminating the padding, makes it really look the business of a bulkier style strap that is more in keeping with the larger dive case design of the PAM342, while at the same time showing all the character and color of a Dangerous9straps' Antiqued American Alligator strap. Stitching with 4 ply Chocolate, waxed Irish linen and lined with our now famous French lambskin lining, this strap will be a joy to look at on the wrist and a buttery soft pleasure to wear as well.

American Alligator for BR02

(click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers, this is the latest Dangerous9strap for one of my favorite watches: the Bell & Ross BR02. It's a watch I own and the first strap that I made to fit any Bell & Ross watch was for the BR02. This strap was made for my great customer Daniel and is pretty special however for a few reasons. First, it's the first Hornback American Alligator strap I have ever made for any Bell & Ross watch (I've made many Caiman skin strap, but this is the first American Alligator). Second, it was made with not just any American Alligator hide but my newly arrived Swiss Hides American Alligator, which essentially means that it's among the very finest American Alligator skins available anywhere. Third, this strap has been upgraded with Dangerous9straps' exclusive 'SuperExotica' upgrade - in this example using the last of my very rare (and I think now impossible to acquire) Emergency Orange Ostrich Leg skin lining. But the fourth and most important reason is that this strap has been built with the hornback skin section spliced to American Alligator belly skin where it interfaces the buckle - a first for any Dangerous9strap. I had always been hesitant in the past to use this technique because I has wasn't sure about the durability of the sliced seam and I because I had seen a number of straps using this technique where the transition between the hornback section and the belly section was in-artfully (to put it mildly). However, I was forced to try this technique because the horns of this Swiss Hides hornback Alligator are so prominent that If I has used my typical method of having the horns run the length of the strap, it would have been literally impossible to buckle. The horns of this alligator are extraordinary raising about a quarter of an inch above the surface of the Alligator skin, and so I would either need to splice the strap or not use this skin at all. Well, if any of you know me, I just couldn't let this challeng pass me by with out at least trying the splicing technique. Daniel's strap is hand saddle stitched using Slate Grey 4 ply waxed Irish linen thread. Her are the results: I hope Daniel is happy with his new strap. I think its a really looker.

Raphael's 1964 Swiss Ammo strap for BR03 Chrono

(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Hi strap lovers, When Raphael contacted me to build a Swiss Ammo strap for his prized BR03 chronograph, he took one look at my 1960's Swiss Ammo pouch slide show and knew right away which pouch he wanted me to use: a 1964 pouch which as made in the Canton of Neuchatel , which is both Raphael's home Canton and the home Canton of the Bell & Ross Manufacturing facility in Switzerland! This pouch must have been meant for Raphael, because I had had this pouch in my slide show for sometime, no one else had recognized the Bell & Ross connection! Raphael was also kind enough to send me these wonderful photos of his watch all mounted up with his awesome Bell & Ross chronograph and for that his is certainly "Watch of the Week'!! Thanks Raphael, wear your Swiss Ammo strap well!
